Assessment & Promotion Policy 2026-27

In today's competitive environment, effective internal assessment processes are key to keeping students engaged. The assessment includes pen paper tests, projects, class enrichment activities and so on according to a well drafted schedule.

Various parameters related to different subjects will be assessed on the basis of artistically designed activities to analyse the entire personality of the child. The assessment shall continue throughout the year.

Pre-Primary to Class III Assessment System

Academic Session 2025-2026

Two Evaluation Periods: Evaluation I (April 2025 – September 2025) & Evaluation II (October 2025 – March 2026)

Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation

Learning as an ongoing, wholesome process evaluated through daily progress in academic and co-curricular activities.

Multi-dimensional Assessment

Based on classroom interaction, general awareness, work quality, concept internalization, and learning outcomes.

Cycle Tests & Assignments

Each Evaluation comprises Two Cycle Tests per subject with Revision Assignments and Subject Specific Tasks.

7-Point Grading System

Letter grades based on a 7-point scale awarded for Scholastic and Co-Scholastic skills assessment.

Pattern, Weightage & Duration as per latest CBSE guidelines

Promotion Requirements:
  • Minimum 33% in each subject must be secured in each Term and in final assessment
  • All students must complete 75% attendance to be eligible for examinations
  • Use of unfair means during exams will result in zero marks and ineligibility for Student Council positions

20% Internal Assessment + 80% Theory Examination

Co-Scholastic Activities (Grading on 5-point scale A-E):
  • Art Education: Students opt for any one from given options
  • Health & Physical Education: Includes work experience
  • Skill Subjects: Information Technology/Artificial Intelligence
  • No up-scaling of grades will be done

Important Notes

  • Assessment patterns are subject to change as per latest CBSE guidelines
  • Best two out of three Periodic Assessments considered for final assessment
  • No averaging of marks in periodic assessments
  • Change of subjects in Class XI allowed until July 15th
  • No subject change permitted after passing Class XI
  • Computer Science and AI assessed through internal and external evaluations
